How do I get off a door knocker?
How can I get the door knocker off my door? It's not screwed on. The only thing I can think of is a crow bar but I'm afraid it will ruin the door... There isn't anything on the inside of my door.... On the inside of the door you will see two button looking things. They have a cap covering the screws that hold the knocker on. Using a sharp chisel or a screw driver pry those two caps off to get to the screws. I'm a builder 30 years. Why don't you carefully trace an outline of the engraved area of your door knocker, and transfer it to card stock or even cardboard.
