Given a ceiling height of 9 feet, what is the maximum door height I can use?
My ceilings are 9 feet tall, and I want to install doors larger than the standard 6'8. How tall of doors can I install? Are there standard sizes that fit or will I have to go with a custom door?

you will have to go custom if its a supporting wall leave room for the header normally 2 2x8 with 1/2 inch spacer nailed together to make 31/2 inch thick for a 2x4 wall plus you have the 2 top plates, so you should be able to put in a door 10 1/2 from ceiling rough opening. If its not a supporting wall you can go 3" from ceiling rough opening

Do woman prefer to trade off pee waiting time with privacy by half height door cubical.?
My high school had glass cubical (semi-transparent) with half height door in female toilet. In male toilet there is no door at all. It use to prevent studen smoking in the washroom, but finally it short the waiting time for female toilet. I mean the toilet is still separate for men and women and cannot see from outside. The half height door or 'no door’ only at the cubical inside the same sex toilet. So there is not relate to "exposing oneself (even partially)". If it is an illegal, then all male urinal should be enclosed in separate cubical with door.

No they do not. Women are acculturated to differences, and the two situations are not comparable. Yes, they should install smoke detectors, and possibly sprinklers if women are using this privacy to smoke in a no-smoking place. If you feel you need privacy, you may use men's toilet instead of urinal.

What opening height it required to hang an 80" bifold door?
I am trying to hang a bifold door, but I'm not quite clear on the opening requirement. The opening I am trying to fill is 60" wide by about 81.5" tall. Standard doors are 30"x80", so the width should be right, but I'm not sure about the height- is the 80" the actual height of the door, requiring the opening to be a bit taller to accommodate the track hardware and the like? Or is 80" the actual required height of the opening? Thanks.

80" is the actual height of the door. If you figure 1/2" at the top and 1" at the bottom for clearance you should be fine. You will have a problem with the width though. If your opening is 60" and the doors are 60" together you will need to trim some off the sides or make the opening bigger. You should figure on 1/8"-1/4" between the doors, and 3/8"-1/2" on the sides for the door to clear the sides (drywall or wood framed) when you open and close them. The opening should be 61"-61 1/2". If you trim the doors versus fixing the opening, you need to split the amount you're taking off the doors. If they are hollow core doors, they will have about 3/4" solid wood on the sides, so you don't want to take it all from one door. Don't try to take more than 1/4" off any side.
